As Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Controller of Global Trade (GTI) Mr. Bonilla is responsible for all of the financial and accounting functions. His strategies, planning, creative mind, effective people skills, dedication, efficiency, and attention to detail were instrumental in building the company from inception - scaling it to a global organization of 100 people with over $50Million in revenues, and qualifying it for IPO in 2008.
Mr. Bonilla has a well deserved reputation, across several industries, of working seamlessly with the CEO, Founders, and Sales Teams, in both early and mid-market enterprises, to successfully implement accounting & financial processes that safeguard assets, but still allow the organization to accelerate its growth. He has expertise with a variety of revenue streams: E-Commerce, Software, Digital Publishing, Business & Market Intelligence, Manufacturing of Apparel & Electronics, Import, Export,& Logistics.
He has an outstanding record of achievement in his last 4 organizations working with senior management to deliver increased value of at least a 5 times multiple, and thrives in fast growing, dynamic organizations that need a cooperative, creative CFO & Controller that can roll up their shirtsleeves and work with everyone in the organization. He is a versatile, enthusiastic, energetic, collaborative, solutions oriented leader with proven complex problem solving, and decision making skills.
Before joining GTI he was Chief Financial Officer of Marquis Who?s Who, the pre-eminent biographer of achievement, where he was part of a transformation team creating a digital business in 3 years, and selling it for 5 times the purchase price. Prior to that, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Astata Corporation, a prestigious leading pioneer in wireless applications that built the world?s first Blackberry application.
Mr. Bonilla has also served as Chief Financial Officer of Macro International where he was on the team that grew the business from $25 million in gross revenue to over $125 million, in a five-year period, and took it public in 1999. Previously Mr. Bonilla has had financial positions of increasing responsibility at Gannett, HBO, CBS and CIT Financial Group, where he began his career as an Auditor.
Mr. Bonilla holds a BS from New York University in Accounting & Finance, and his experience is CPA qualified. He is a member of the CFO National Advisory Group, and CFO Round Table.
